Handle With Care Program

Ohio Handle With Care (HWC) is a trauma-informed, cross-systems, collaborative program aimed at ensuring that children who are exposed to adverse events receive appropriate interventions and have opportunities to build resilience through positive relationships with teachers and first responders.

The Ohio HWC program is supported by a partnership between Hopewell Health Centers and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The program aims to promote safe and supportive schools, homes and communities that protect children, and communities that help traumatized children heal and thrive.

The HWC website includes resources and supports for Ohio schools and first responders on implementing this program in their communities. Don’t forget to check out their program overview and obtain a certificate of attendance while visiting their below website.
